Rwandan Jails Burning Again

April 3, 2017

The prison of Kimironko caught fire last week, reportedly on the 31st of March. Witnesses say they heard a lot of gunshots being fired, but the government was quick to dismiss such reports as unfounded rumors.

That was before an amateur video came out in which you can distinctly hear shots being fired.

Today it seems inmates started throwing stones at the jail’s manager’s office and it was raining stones in the streets near the jail walls.

The police had to intervene.

Under Paul Kagame’s regime, Rwandan prisons have been known to catch fire spontaneously, sometimes several jails being affected in the same period. In one case a mass grave was “found” by the authorities after such a fire had devastated a prison in Northen Rwanda. Around 5000 bodies. The government declared those were “victims of the 1994 genocide of the Tutsi.” In the same period thousands of people in the same region had gone missing, and Kagame’s government said they had probably left the country to seek employment or business opportunities overseas.

Paul Kagame on How Lies Have a Shelf Life.

March 16, 2017

I can’t believe I’m quoting Paul Kagame today. At the closing of the 14th Umwiherero retreat he really did spill the beans.

“There are things you lie about and people believe you…but there are matters you can’t fool people about”. “Poverty…you may say that you have eradicated poverty all you want, but as soon as we open the door we find poverty at our very doorstep”…

“You can’t hide that.”

“Power distribution, building industries…there is no power. “Sorry we can’t serve you a cold drink because of power shortage…”

“Building hospitals…how can you accept funds to build a hospital and when the donors come to visit, they find and empty building with no doctors instead of a functioning hospital?”

Former RPF soldiers testify on mass murdering Hutus and Tustis.

December 7, 2015

This video is a testimony by former members of the RPF military on how they committed genocide against Hutus, killing Tutsi witnesses in the process. In the video they mention how the RPF massacred the Gogwe Tutsis in 1993 to discredit Habyarimana’s government and how the RPF used that as an excuse to break the ceasefire.  They talk about one instance in 1994 when they rounded up around 100 young Tutsi men who were suffering from PTSD and bashed in their skulls one by one, using agafuni, a used, worn hoe, a tool RPF men have been known to use whenever they need to kill people without using guns.  They talk about how they eviscerated a 17-year old Hutu girl near Base in the northern part of Rwanda and how they shot a woman in the vagina after killing both her sons and how they proceeded to kill the entire village of around 50 households which they suspected of supporting Hutu rebels. I remember that such horrible acts were reported in the media as “counterinsurgency operations”.

Miss Tutsi a.k.a. Miss Rwanda Beauty Pageant

Miss Rwanda contest 2015

Miss Rwanda 2015: a Tutsi-only pageant?

Height is part of the admission criteria in Miss Rwanda beauty pageant. Contestants under 170 cm need not apply, plain and simple. Such a criteria would be OK if this was say, the Netherlands or South Sudan. But this is Rwanda, where the Twa community lives and has been living before the Hutu and Tutsi came in. Twa are descendants of pygmies, which means most members of that community are short people, rarely taller than 160 cm. The Hutu tend to be taller, and the Tutsi are known to be among the tallest people on the planet. Dinka from South Sudan are the only people I can think of who are generally taller than the Rwandan Tutsi.

Anywhere else in the world, such a blatant racist criteria would spark outrage, but this is Rwanda. Hutu and Twa living under the current regime in Rwanda have gotten used to so much abuse and discrimination of all kinds that nobody dares to protest this. And by the way, all members of the Miss Rwanda jury-except maybe one- just happen to look Tutsi.

Paul Kagame’s RPF has installed such an apartheid-like regime that Rwandans who were born under the tall man’s rule seem to have no issues with such an obvious display of racism. At least they aren’t expressing any. They have gotten used to the idea that every high-ranking position in government is meant for the tall folks. Today in Rwanda, any prosperous businessman has to be either Tutsi or have a lot of important Tutsi friends. Any movie star, rock (more probably rap) star, church leader or whatever successful business owner has to be either a Tutsi or a self-loathing Hutu or Twa who has sworn loyalty to the Tutsi supremacist criminal organization-turned political party RPF.

The repression against anyone who doesn’t actively work to further the nazi-like RPF agenda is such that people proactively discriminate against the Hutu and the Twa to stay in king Kagame’s good graces. I’m sure nobody specifically instructed the organizers of Miss Rwanda to keep Hutus and Twas out. They proactively did so to escape the wrath of the tall man. Keep feeding the beast lest it gets hungry and considers chewing you up, that seems to be everybody’s motto in Rwanda these days.

Who’s been setting Rwandan jails on fire during the World Cup 2014?

July 17, 2014

While the world was passionately watching the World Cup in Brazil, news kept coming from Rwanda about jails inexplicably catching fire. Here is what inyenyerinews.org says about it. This is my rendition of the article originally in Kinyarwanda.

A SURVIVOR OF THE MASS MURDER IN RUBAVU JAIL CALLS FOR HELP

The witnesses of the deaths caused by fires in Rwandan jails can find no words to describe the horror. One of them told us about what he(or she) saw when a jail burned. He also tells us about his worries regarding the future. «  We lost hundreds and hundreds of inmates », said the witness.

« Kagame is exterminating us. If it is within your power, please help us without delay. Over 1000 prisoners perished in the fires KAGAME ordered for Rwandan prisons. By reading this you might think that I am exaggerating but it is 500% true because I personally witnessed it.

The first action KAGAME has planned to accomplish before his own death is to kill all the inmates in the country in the shortest time possible because he considers them likely to be recruited and fight him in the last war that is about to break out in Rwanda.

His second action will be to exterminate all the opponents to his regime. He calls them all FDLR. As they too are likely to take up arms against him at short notice, they must be killed very swiftly.

The first action has already started, and preparations for the second action are well advanced. Those who predicted what is about to happen in Rwanda and who dared tell Kagame about it were immediately thrown in jail.

If you doubt this news, I challenge you to produce the names of any survivor of the mass murder in Nyakiriba Prison. While you’re at it, try and produce the name of any Muhanga Prison survivor who would have been transferred to another location. I have seen with my own eyes hundreds and hundreds of corpses, mixed with tree trunks and stones, thrown in a huge hole inside the Nyakiriba jail. Whoever has the power to request an independent international investigation about these horrifying murders should act swiftly so that the truth comes out.

Paul Kagame snitching on the West

June 25, 2012
